November 1, Sunday β Beginner/Improver Intensive Day
* 9:00-12:00 β Workshop 1 β Your First Machines
Description:
- Do you ever hear acroyogis talk about washing machines, and wonder why on Earth they talk about household appliances? Well, in the acro world, washing machines have a different meaning β theyβre a series of moves that begin and end in the same position, so you can loop them indefinitely. There are hundreds of acro washing machines out there, and in this workshop we will teach you some of the most basic and iconic ones, such as: Ninja Bat and variations, Barrel Roll, and/or Fourstep.
Prerequisites:
- A stable Star, and being comfortable in a few basic transitions.
βββ
* 14:00-17:00 β Workshop 2 β Intro to Whips
Description:
- This is an introductory class into whips β whips are a dynamic skill type in acro where the flyer βwhipsβ through the baseβs legs with momentum. They might look scary and intimidating at first, but as usual, they will be taught in a safe, slow, progressive way, utilizing easy-to-digest techniques and heavy spotting. Mastering whips can be a journey lasting several months β in this class we will provide you with the tools so that you can safely keep practicing by yourselves, too. Weβll be covering some of the classics, like the Tarzan, the Backwhip, and/or the Reverse Backwhip.
Prerequisites:
- A solid Hand Bird, and being stable in basic transitions.

November 7, Saturday β Improver/Intermediate intensive day
* 9:00-12:00 β Workshop 1 β Whipipedia
Description:
- In this workshop, we will dive deeper into the world of whips and explore more adventurous and challenging variations, such as the double rising, the rising backwhip, forearm backwhip, whips in the reverse direction, etc. Weβve designed this workshop in a way that it can benefit various levels:
- those who have never done whips before will be practicing the βwalk throughβ versions of each of these skill, without any momentum. By mastering the walk throughs in a slow and safe way, the student will be able to gradually add momentum in their own time to arrive at the full skill. For those with no whip experience itβs highly recommended to attend the previous weekβs βintro to whipsβ workshop.
- those who already have their basic whips (e.g. Tarzan, Backwhip, Reverse Whip) solid will be able to practice these new skills in their full, dynamic expression β with tempo, momentum and speed.
Prerequisites:
- Understanding the concept of tempo in acroyoga
- Being stable in basic transitions, and basic pops (non-icarian) such as whale to chair, straddle throne to front plank, front plank to straddle throne etc.

* 14:00-16:00 β Unusual inversions & H2H
Description:
Get ready to be upside down! In this workshop, we will be teaching all kinds of challenging and funky inversions, such as Baby H2H, Reverse Needle, Floating Lotus, Forearm to Forearmstand, and/or Handstand on Forearms β as well as breaking down the iconic Hand-to-Hand where the flyer is handstanding in the baseβs hands (and, as opposed to our previous workshops, this time weβll be breaking down the Regular H2H, not Reverse). And no, you donβt need to know how to balance a handstand on the floor to join!
Prerequisites:
- For bases and flyers: solid Star, Foot-to-Hand, Free Shoulderstand (the flyer holding onto the baseβs forearms, not the ankles/thighs. Regular or Reverse direction)
- For flyers: being able to hold a 30-second handstand against a wall or with a spotter
